Little Lifesavers

Little Lifesavers program is run at the Cairns Lagoon. Participants aged 5 – 11 will be introduced to board paddling, wading, dolphin diving, beach sprints and flags as well as rescue techniques, patient care and CPR – all vital skills they will carry with them for life.

All participants receive a Little Lifesavers pack which includes a long sleeved Little Lifesavers rash shirt, Little Lifesavers bag, water bottle, activity booklet and completion certificate.

Surf Life Saving Queensland – North Queensland would like to acknowledge the support and assistance provided by the Cairns Regional Council in allowing the use of these clean, safe and well maintained Lagoon facilities. Without the support of the Cairns Regional Council it would not be possible to run these community programs!

One of our goals is to see the Little Lifesaver program grow with each program and reach into all areas of our community. As we live in North Queensland, water is a part of everyday life and what a better way of introducing the next generation to valuable skills that will help them, but may also assist them to save a life!
